Global Custody, Foreign Exchange and Governance

***This examines the activities that serve as the foundation to the buy-side and other lifecycle participants to ensure proper processing and record-keeping of global investments.  Our focus is on the functions and processes occurring post-settlement including asset servicing activities. We begin with an examination of the responsibilities of Custodians and typical services they provide. We advance our focus to foreign exchange where we review the process from identifying the need for a specific currency through receipt of that currency. The class begins with a brief review of significant events in global markets that have had an impact on these activities.
