Client:
Global investment bank with multiple dealer and broker/dealer subsidiaries.
Engagement:
Client needed advisors with appropriate industry skills to supplement client staff to address business, regulatory, system conversion and other business activity to meet new regulatory requirements. Recent changes in regulatory requirements, e.g., Sarbanes Oxley and Anti-Money Laundering (AML), had created a need for the client to seek outside expertise to meet these challenges.
Deliverable:
We provided advisors with the requisite skills to meet the client’s requirements. Our contributions spanned identifying applications systems requirements, user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation assistance.
We became familiar with the client’s infrastructure and applications and tested the client’s controls in banking and brokerage processes to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and AML requirements. Working with the client’s staff, we implemented new control processes and procedures.
Result:
The client was able to meet the challenges presented by the regulations and take advantage of innovative technology to improve their overall processing capabilities, including identifying exceptions and instituting needed controls.
