Engagement:
Develop user documentation that would be easy to use, indexed by function with on-line help lookup.

Deliverable:
We mapped the system functionality by exploring the system and reviewing the design document, functional specifications and user acceptance test scripts. The first deliverable was a high level view of the system. The next step was to identify the categories of information and then link these to potential client uses.
We then identified potential work aids that application users could use to navigate the system and take full advantage of the system’s capability. Our objective was to develop a comprehensive document that would reflect the full spectrum of the system but in a manner that reflected its intuitiveness.

Result:
The completed documentation, available online and on CD, was successfully received by the beta version users of the system. We modified the documentation during the first three months as the systems changed and then incorporated improvements suggested by the beta version users into the final version of the documentation.
