Our Approach to Dispute Resolution

Active listening is at the foundation of my dispute resolution practice. I listen to each party and summarize back to confirm that I have heard and understand their position, concerns and objectives. Ongoing discussions to clarify and establish parties positions are critical.  Evidence is examined as presented. Follow-up questions are used to clarify open issues and identify critical points. My goal is to ensure that each party feels safe and is comfortable with the process and believes that their position and feelings have been recognized. Throughout the process I continue to focus on each party's position, the relevant issues and potential solutions. Typically the session concludes once an agreement has been reached and memorialized or when the parties and I believe that a total agreement is not possible.

If time is limited , another dispute resolution session can be scheduled to permit the parties to continue to explore and reach solutions.
